Thanks a lot Butler.
Never has the chant "Overrated" seemed more appropriate. By losing to Wright State in the Horizon Conference Championship game tonight, Butler, the #17 team in the nation who beat a handful of mediocre teams before Thanksgiving 2006 then proceeded to lose to anybody remotely decent in their terrible conference, assured another major conference team with real wins against real opponents that they would be dancing in the NIT this year.
Way to go Butler. You should be proud.
Congrats go out to North Texas and Oral Roberts for winning the Sun Belt and Mid-Continent Conference Championships, respectively. With any luck, you guys can be the next team that beats Butler.
